a few words about

Damjan Gjorgievski

Fantasy World Building

Born and raised in a small mountain town, Kriva Palanka, in Macedonia. Later on moved to Skopje, where I pursued art as a career, since I realized for most of my life, I have been drawing and I aimed to continue doing so. I studied Traditional Printmaking at High School for Applied Arts ‘Lazar Licenoski’; and continued with art at the Faculty for Fine Arts, under University of Cyril and Methodius. In both, I was awarded “the best student of the generation”. In the meantime I entered the Arts & Entertainment industry, as I have spend a big portion of my childhood with video games and wanted to contribute something of my own to the next generations. At this point I have been working in Tabletop and Video gaming for 10 years during which I have launched several titles, working as a Concept Artist, Illustrator and latest Art Director. My main interest is in World Building, Character design and Narrative. On the side I never stopped working on personal art and I’ve taken part in international group exhibitions and contests, among which I can note Engravist, where I was an instructor; the Balkan Bienal for Small Prints in Bosnia; International Small Print Show in Egypt; Balkanska Strip Smotra – Leskovac, where I was awarded with “Illustrator of the year” prize twice. Beside that, I have been awarded with the Excellence Award by 3D Total, who have also published a section with my art in their publication ‘Sketching from Imagination: Myth & Magic’. My artwork ‘Offering to Enti the Golden Eyed’ has been featured and nominated by IBA etc. In my free time I aim to contribute as much as possible to the Art and Gaming scene by being active at conventions, giving guest lectures at schools, events and universities.
